This album features Charlie, initially known as "Charlie Cuckoo," before achieving success with hits like "Johnny Hold Back" and "She Loves to Be In Love" in 1978, reaching the Top 60 in the United States. Despite initial success, turmoil arose within the band, leading to lineup changes and label disputes. In 1982, Terry Slesser joined as lead singer, and in 1983, they released their most successful hit single, "It's Inevitable," accompanied by a memorable MTV music video featuring a pie fight. However, the album failed to meet expectations, resulting in the band's dissolution. In 1986, a reformed lineup led by Terry Thomas released "In Pursuit of Romance." Since then, aside from a "best of" retrospective in 2000 and the re-mastered Anthology in 2007, Charlie has been dormant.
